Sailing in Amed Bali

One of the activities you can do is sailing Amed the sea with a traditional boat named Jukung. The Jukung boat is a traditional fishing boat. It is an iconic sight along Bali’s coastline.

This boat is a popular choice for snorkelling and diving trips, as it offers a more authentic and intimate experience than larger commercial boats. Moreover, by using the Jukung you can enjoy a sunset or sunrise sailing with a traditional boat and diving. This trip takes about two hours and you can start around 5 AM or 5 PM.

During the trip, you can choose either fishing or diving. Several diving spots you can visit are the USS Liberty shipwreck, Amed Wall, and the Jemeluk Bay.

Sailing in Tulamben

If you choose to dive in Tulamben you can explore the wreck and see schools of fish, colourful corals, and barracuda and sharks. One of the popular dive sites in Tulamben is the Coral Garden. This dive site is known for coral formations, which are home to an incredible variety of marine life, like brightly coloured fish, nudibranchs, and octopus.

Other dive sites like Alamanda, Batu Kelebit, and Emerald Bay take 5 to 10 minutes by Jukung. Here you can find beautiful napoleons, humphead parrotfish, mantas, eagle rays, thresher sharks, and whale sharks if you are so lucky.
